A source revealed to Axios that “Central Command has prepared a plan to launch a wave of ‘short and powerful’ strikes on Iran.”
The source indicated that the strikes are likely to include infrastructure targets, in the hope of "breaking the negotiating stalemate."
The source told Axios: “Military leaders will brief US President Donald Trump on Thursday about new military options regarding Iran.”
The source expected that another plan would be presented to Trump, which includes controlling part of the Strait of Hormuz to reopen it, and deploying ground forces.
Two sources confirmed to Axios that Trump considers the blockade a major pressure tool, but he may resort to the military option if Iran continues to refuse.
